Eyebrow Piercing

Got my eyebrow pierced today.. didnt really hurt very much, id easily do it again. I dont really like needles, so was a bit nervous but the guy was really good about it, and he did it quick before i could back out. After i said yeh i'll get it done, about a minute later he was piercing it, then another minute later and it was all done and i was out of there. Here is a picture i have, taken with my phone.

Also, on a somewhat related note, i started playing Final Fantasy X again last week.. since someone erased my saves, i decided to play through it again. I managed to collect all 26 Al Bhed Primers, unlock all the Celstial Weapons and Secret Aeons and I also defeated Ultima Weapon and Omega Weapon (*yawn* 1-shotted), Dark Valefor, Dark ifrit and Dark Ixion. I stoped here as i cant be bothered wasting the amount of time required to max the rest of my stats to take out the rest of the Dark Aeons and Pennance. Im satisfied with that i've done.

Yesterday I started playing Final Fantasy X-2 after completing FFX, i haven't completed this one yet so im looking forward to it, as much fun as it is though.. sometimes the girly crap is just too much, deffinatly not square's finest hour, but the dress sphere system and the story (after you dig through side-quests and girly crap to uncover it) is worth my time.

Party on Saturday was pretty good.. i think a good time was had by all, and a few sore heads in the morning too I might add. I was meant to be working on sunday, but was way too tired/hungover to go so i didn't, I should have probably phoned them but I didn't. I dont particularly like my job anyway, and deffinatly wouldnt miss it.

I cant be bothered writing any more at the moment, maybee more updates/edits later.

My iPod is working again, I took it to a few places today to get it looked at/fixed and everywhere basically said fuck off we dont want to touch an ipod thats not covered by apple warranty except the last place i went (NextByte in Claremont, props to those guys) the guy i was dealing with said that because its out of warranty there isnt really much he can do for me, except try to get it approved for apples replacment plan, basically they take my ipod for refurbished parts and i pay a reasonable amount (~$250) and get a new iPod. He wanted to take a look at it anyway, so he plugged it into his computer (A Mac). Another customer was waiting so he served this guy, and by the time he was done, the computer was just starting to recognise my ipod, he managed erase the disk, initialize and format it then he installed the mac version of the ipod software. Was a little slow at first but then he copied a few songs to it and they played fine. I was amazed (and also thought about buying an old iBook right there and then) to see it working. He suggested i took it home and gave it another shot now before trying to get it replaced. I was happy enough not to have to pay a large amount of money and thanked him then left.

Before i got home, i also stopped at JB Hi-Fi where i purchased Kingdom Hearts for $27 (I love Playstation Platinum games), i have yet to play it but i plan to give it a go tommorow after work. Im not sure if im going to like it or not, it seems quite simillar to the Final Fantasy series in terms of gameplay, but with a cast mostly consisting of the Disney crew instead of your usual RPG lineup. I usually enjoy (or used to enjoy) most disney movies i saw, such as Aladin or The Lion King, so i think this game could either be really fun to play, or it will be terrible and they will have made every mistake possible and dumb down all of the story and combat because of the likely younger fanbase. It is a square-enix game however, so i have set my expectations bar to somewhat high. Will let you know tommorow i expect.

Anyway, back to my iPod. Its been a hard few weeks without it, i really miss it at TAFE, expecially during the morning commute, during lectures, during lunch, during tests, during the home commute, and just about all the time inbetween. When i got it home and pluged it in, i formated it again and then installed the windows version of the iPod software on it then plugged it into the wall power socket so it could flash itself. So far so good, but then when i plugged it back in, it seemed i was back to square one and nothing was working again. I was shattered ( :[ ). After playing around with it for a while i somehow managed to format it again, turning it into a 20gb USB Hard Drive. From there i played around with it a bit more, it was a little more co-operative now, and it, by some miracle, started working and itunes recognised it. The first thing it asked me for was a name for my iPod, i was going to enter the old name, bt decided it was a new start for the iPod so it needed a new name. I decided to go with 'Toto' (thanks J.D). I am in the process of copying my songs to the ipod now (around 3400 of them) its been going for a while, but i plan to stay up and make sure it finishes ok before i go to sleep for work in the morning at 8am ( :[ ). About 500 songs to go.

Other news? I have taken a recent intrest in cooking, which is a bit of a lie really.. i have always been somewhat intrested in cooking, i guess i just turned that intrest into practise and have been cooking a few meals lately. On thursday i cooked a Japanese Curry (thanks Jun for the help with my recipie)and turned out really well. What i didnt know on thursday when i was cooking, was that my grandparents were comming for dinner that night, i was a little worried incase it didnt turn out, but when it turned out great, i was happy i had so many test subjects. Now that i have mastered curry, i am thinking of mastering some kind of spaghetti and meatballs. Any suggestions/requests?

My mum is going on holiday for a week to Thialand in about 10 days time, so i will have the place to myself for a while, which i am quite looking foward to. I may organizae a small get together during that time for us to just sit around and have a few drinks and play some poker/playstation or my russian roulette drinking game we havent ever used yet. I may even cook curry for everyone :P Will let people know closer to the date whats happening.

This actually turned into quite a substantial post from what i was initially planning to write. I feel like i have forgotten to write something, oh well.. thats all for now.

Work, Work & More Work

Ok, so ive been working alot lately up at Lake Karrinup Country Club, and to be frank, i dont like it. I wont try to make it sound intresting, my job is to wash dishes :( I worked last saturday 11 hours and sunday 8 hours. Tonight i worked 6 hours.. and im rostered for atleast another 10-12 hours tommorow then 8am till 4pm on sunday too. Just gotta think of the money...

I have a job interview for liquorland on monday afternoon.. wish me luck. If i get that job i will happily quit my current job. Id much rather dispence alcohol, and reject 16 and 17 year olds with fake IDs trying to buy booze, than wash dishes all the time.

Ive been watching Ergo Proxy and i am really enjoying it (Thanks Liam!). There are only 5 episodes subbed so far, but im looking foward to the next ones.

On the topic of anime.. the latest naruto filler saga is somewhat intresting. Yes, I still download it, i hope of some decent sroty/action sometime soon. 181 episodes and counting. I also started watching Serial Experiments Lain again.. i watched a few episodes a while ago and never really got into it so stopped and then forgot about it, but im watching it again to give it another chance as ergo proxy reminded me of it. I'm currently downloading Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 at the moment, as i have always wanted to watch it. And im downloading Moonlight Lady upon recommendation, although im fairly certain its ecchi/hentai-ish... I also feel like watching Evangelion again.. dont know why :) (Thanks to Liam again for the great quality dual audio Eva rips.)

And for those of you still playing oblivion, check out this mod. It addresses many of the issues i had with the game, i may even start a fresh character to check it out. Enjoy.

Do i look dodgy?

Ok, so i was riding my bike to work today, i just rode out of the bike trail near lake karrinup and came onto the road when a cop car drove past. they kinda looked at me and kept going, i thought i may be in trouble for not wearing a helmet or something but they kept going. Anyway, about a minute later im riding along and they pull up next to me and signal for me to "pull over". I stoped my bike and came off the road. They asked first why i wasnt wearing a helmet, i explained i didnt have one they simply said ok, and moved onto the real issue here, they began to question me about burglaries in the area. They searched my bag and my pockets and took all my contact details, i guess so that they can come and arrest me later or something.. but wtf?! do i look dodgy?

something i am looking foward to is work tommorow, everyone seems to think i will be getting 2.5x pay since its easter weekend and everyone seems to be getting this extra pay. Im off TAFE next week, after a 10 week term the break is nice, damn all of you uni slackers with your 6 week term. I passed all my tests pretty comfortably so i wont have anything to resit or make up for. Also next term i can look forward to 4 day weekends, yes thats right, I have both fridays and mondays off.

I watched a few good movies this week, ive been downloading random stuff pretty much all week. I watched Fun With Dick and Jane first, i love Jim Carey, one of my favourite actors so i really enjoyed this movie. I watched Hostel the next day, and i have to say that i thought it was a really good movie, even though its quote graphic in some places, watching it at my house with Alex, Richard, Byron and Jess. Byron actually wanted to leave, and then did so i cant say i would recommend it for everybody, im not usually one to be effected by movies in any way but this movie made me cringe a little in some scenes. Next up i watched Get Rich or Die Tryin' and thought it was pretty good too. Ive been in a bit of a gangsta mood since i watched it which i know Stock is enjoying. g-unniiitttt! I also watched Hustle & Flow today which i thought was good too. Basically its about a pimp who gets sick of pimping and starts rapping about pimping instead. I have them all on my comp if anyone wants a copy let me know.
